PORTLAND, Ore. – A 27-year-old is facing charges, accused of throwing rocks at Portland police cars at the bureau’s north precinct on Saturday – one of which was occupied.

According to police, Nathan Prime confronted officers in the precinct’s parking lot at about 4 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 12) and started throwing “large rocks” at police vehicles. An officer was inside one of the two vehicles he allegedly damaged.

Police said Prime ran off and an officer gave chase, ultimately managing to tackle him and take him into custody.

Prime was taken to the Multnomah County Jail and booked on three counts of criminal mischief, one count of interfering with a police officer, and one count of attempting to elude.
