Portland Aerial Tram will close 6 days in July for maintenance

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Aerial Tram will be closed for six days in July for maintenance.

The tram will be shut down Tuesday, July 2 through Sunday, July 7 for haul rope maintenance. It will reopen Monday, July 8.

There will be shuttles available to tram riders during the tram’s normal operating hours.

  • Tuesday, July 2: 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, July 3: 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 4: No service, normal holiday closure
  • Friday, July 5: 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 6: No service
  • Sunday, July 7: No service

Riders who plan to take the shuttle should plan to add about 30 minutes to their travel time and expect to wait 10 to 15 minutes at each of the stops.

The shuttles will pick riders up at the South Waterfront: Whitaker Lot and at Marquam Hill: Kohler Pavilion.

Anyone who needs ADA access and transport will need to speak to an attendant for assistance.
