Sex abuse suspect arrested after being found with runaway girl in Woodburn

WOODBURN, Ore. – Police arrested a 20-year-old Tuesday on sexual abuse and rape charges after they found him with a 14-year-old runaway girl and her infant child, Woodburn Police said.

Police said they located the runaway girl and her 1-year-old baby at about 5 p.m. Tuesday in an apartment on North Pacific Highway. Her parents said she had left home several days earlier.

The girl was with Olivio Cardona-Sales. Investigators said he “was in a relationship” with the girl.

The 14-year-old and her child were place in the custody of Department of Human Services.

Cardona-Sales was booked into the Marion County Jail on three counts of 2nd-degree sexual abuse and five counts of 3rd-degree rape.
