PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland police say the protests at Tom McCall Waterfront Park caused them to close Southwest Naito Parkway Saturday morning, but it was reopened at around 12:30 p.m.

Police closed Southwest Naito Parkway between the Morrison Bridge and the Hawthorne Bridge. The Morrison Bridge offramps to Naito were also closed.

Police asked drivers to avoid the area.

KATU News heard police announce at around 12:30 p.m. that they were reopening the road to vehicular traffic.

Officers are working to keep conflicting groups of demonstrators separated near the Morrison Bridge.

TriMet says Lines 2, 6, 14, and 15 are not running on the Morrison Bridge due to the crowd from the events. Buses will be running on the Burnside Bridge.

TriMet also says Line 6 will not provide service from Jefferson & 4th to Clay & MLK due to blocking demonstrations.

For Line 14, there is no service from Madison & Grand to Main & 6th due to blocking demonstrations.

For Line 2, there is no service from Madison & Grand and 6th & Burnside bridge due to blocking demonstrations. To Gresham, no service from Washington & 5th to Hawthorne & 7th.
