Woman arrested, accused of killing family's rabbit

SALEM, Ore. — Deputies arrested a woman Sunday suspected of killing a family’s rabbit.

Deputies were called at about 11 a.m. to the 5600 block of Silverton Road NE.

Deputies said the caller told them they chased a woman from their property. The caller found one of their rabbits dead and believed the woman killed it.

Deputies said they found the woman and took her to the Marion County Jail where she faces charges of animal abuse, criminal mischief and trespass.

Deputies said they are working to identify the suspect.
