WOODBURN, Ore. – People were told to shelter in place in a Woodburn neighborhood Wednesday night after someone reported receiving a letter containing a hazardous substance, according to the Woodburn Police Department.
Woodburn firefighters and police officers were called out to investigate the incident on Roanoke Street just before 4:30 p.m.
The shelter in place was lifted after officials determined there was no hazardous materials and no threat to the public.
Authorities are investigating to find out who sent the letter.
