WOODBURN, Ore. -- Woodburn police are looking for a 74-year-old man last seen Friday morning.

Byron Kent Salsby’s son last saw his father at 7:30 a.m. When he returned from work around 5:45 p.m., his father and his 1987 Ford Thunderbird were gone.

Salsby’s credit card was last used at about 1:44 p.m. in the 1000 block of Arney Road in Woodburn, police said. He lives in the 100 block of that road.

Salsby is a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has gray hair, blue eyes, full gray beard and a medium build.

He was last seen wearing a blue jacket with sheepskin inside and a black Army baseball hat.

Salsby’s son told police his father gets easily confused and has early onset dementia and diabetes that requires medication. He shouldn’t be driving at night.

He has only lived in the area since November and is from Spokane, Washington.
