Lawmakers weigh in on bill allowing undocumented immigrants to drive

A bill working its way through the Oregon Legislature would give undocumented immigrants the ability to get driver’s licenses.

The bill recently passed the House with a 39-21 vote, and is now heading to the Senate.

KATU’s Steve Dunn sat down with two state lawmakers – Rep. Teresa Alonso Leon (D-Woodburn, Ore.) and Rep. Mike Nearman (R-Independence, Ore.) – to get their take on House Bill 2015.
