A 13-year-old was injured in a shooting Sunday night, according to the Little Rock Police Department.

Officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of Chickadee Dr. around 10 p.m. on Sunday in connection to a shooting, a police report states. When officers arrived on the scene, they reportedly found Laquinta Wilburd who said a teen showed up knocking on the front door with an apparent gunshot wound.

Police then saw a 13-year-old boy on the floor with a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the report. The teen was then transported to Arkansas Children's Hospital where he was treated for his injury.

Police say when they asked the teen what happened, he said he was shot in the Target parking lot on South University. He said he did not know who shot him.

According to police, there was no evidence found in the Target parking lot.
