LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Little Rock police are investigating after a 64-year-old woman said she was attacked by "Trumpers" for wearing a face mask.

The woman told police she was at Kroger at 1900 N. Polk St. on Friday afternoon when two men in a vehicle began harassing her about the mask, according to the report. They told her, "Maybe you would not be so ugly if you take that mask off." She replied, "Maybe you should put one on."

One of the men told her Democrats and Joe Biden are "baby rapists," then got out of the vehicle and punched the woman in the face, according to the report. The woman fell to the ground and the men drove away.

Police said the woman's injuries appeared minor. She declined medical treatment.

The men are described only as white. The woman told police she could not provide a detailed description of the two or their vehicle because the incident happened quickly. She could only describe them as "Trumpers," or supporters of President Donald Trump.

Arkansas requires residents to wear masks in public when social distancing is not possible.
