According to the Arkansas Department of Corrections, a six-year-old boy who was reportedly kidnapped by an armed and dangerous man has been found safe and the man is in custody.

The Sherwood Police Department activated an Amber Alert for Julian Boyd on Friday morning, but it was inactivated by Friday afternoon.

The Amber Alert listed Napolean Haire, 33, as an adult associated with the child.

According to state police, Haire is on probation for aggravated assault and tampering with physical evidence. He has also been in prison for several charges including battery and theft of property.

His last known address was an apartment in the 7000 block of Geyer Springs in Little Rock, but office managers said in an interview that he has not lived there in "quite some time."

Around 12:15 p.m., North Little Rock police responded to the Quality Inn at 500 West 29th Street after the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office notified them that the suspect car was there.

No injuries were reported.
