The City of Little Rock announced that it is ending the nighttime curfew hours.

Effective Thursday, May 21 the nighttime curfew, currently in effect from midnight to 5 a.m., has been lifted.

According to a press release, the youth daytime curfew, in effect during the school year, will end May 27.

Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. to strongly urges residents to follow CDC guidelines on social distancing and to wear a mask if at least six feet of distance cannot be maintained, said the release.

On March 25, Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. announced that the city was tightening its curfew to limit the spread of the coronavirus. Residents were not be allowed outside from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The curfew does not apply to people going to and from work.
