On Saturday, FEMA officials spent the morning in Little Rock going door to door helping people affected by the recent flooding.

Their teams helped people apply for FEMA assistance and answered questions from homeowners.

They also warned victims to be careful of scam artists.

FEMA workers say they will be in the area until they are no longer needed.

"Those who have suffering flooding recently are probably really overwhelmed. One of the things I would like them to know is that there will be disaster survivor assistance teams who will be coming door to door in most neighborhoods. They generally come in sets of two they will have a picture ID. Be sure to ask about the picture ID so you know that they are FEMA members. They are going to ask questions like, ‘Were you flooded, do you have any needs to let people know about?'" said Robin Smith with FEMA.

FEMA says disaster recovery centers will be opening soon in the counties where President Trump declared an emergency.
