A Little Rock police officer has been arrested on battery charges stemming from an incident in October.

On October 13, 2019, Little Rock police responded to a call regarding an assault. Officer Jonathan Walker, 27, told police that he had an argument with his girlfriend over their child, and it turned physical.

When officers arrived, Walker's girlfriend had left the scene. She returned to speak with the officers, and they noted that both she and Walker has bruises and scratches.

Due to conflicting stories, no arrest was made at the time. Following the allegations, Walker was placed on administrative leave pending a criminal and internal investigation.

Walker was served with arrest warrants on Thursday. He faces charges of third-degree domestic battery.
