Little Rock police investigate homicide in 12th Street Corridor

Little Rock police are investigating a homicide that happened on Wednesday.

Officers were dispatched to Pic-Pac Liquor at 4407 W. 12th Street around 3:15 p.m. regarding a shooting that had just occurred, according to Lt. Michael Ford with LRPD.

Lt. Ford said in an interview that a white vehicle had stopped somewhere in the 12th Street area and was found behind Pic-Pac Liquor. Officers found a 21-year-old black male dead in the vehicle.

A person of interest later turned himself in at the 12th Street station, but no charges have been filed at this time.

Police are questioning the person of interest and seeking out witnesses who may know more information.

It is not known if the victim and person of interest knew each other.

The victim's body was taken by the Pulaski County Coroner for further examination.
