A traffic dispute in Little Rock led to one person being stabbed and another being struck in the head with a steel pipe Saturday, police reported.

Little Rock police were called at 5:04 p.m. to an apartment complex at 4 Meredith Court, where a Sherwood police officer was holding three people at gunpoint. A knife, a hatchet and a steel pipe were on the ground.

Witnesses said Cameron Harris, 26, had been driving east on Rodney Parham Road when another motorist, identified as Matthew Robbins, 22, cut him off, according to a police report. Harris reportedly became upset and struck Robbins' vehicle in an attempt to stop it. The two vehicles continued traveling on the roadway and changed positions several times before Robbins pulled into the apartment complex.

A witness said the two got out of their vehicles and Harris knocked Robbins down, kicked him in the head and then stabbed him, according to the report. Robbins' brother reportedly came out of an apartment carrying a hatchet and a steel pipe, then struck Harris with the steel pipe.

Harris and Robbins were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

Harris was charged with first-degree battery. He was not listed on the Pulaski County roster Monday.
