Southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd are set to perform in downtown Little Rock this fall, the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau announced Friday.

The band, known for the hits "Free Bird" and "Sweet Home Alabama," is scheduled to perform at the First Security Amphitheater on Oct. 12. Tickets go on sale Aug. 9.

The concert is part of a deal with Conway-based Awakening Events to bring more concerts to the amphitheater. The agreement calls for three "A-Tier" concerts this year and six concerts per year at the amphitheater from 2020 to 2023.

Country music star Clint Black will perform at the amphitheater Aug. 30 as part of the deal.
