Parents in Arkansas can now see updated report cards for their children’s schools.

The Arkansas Department of Education released the 2019 federal and state accountability reports for public schools.

People can access school grades here. When you type the name of the school, you'll find their report card, graduation rates, and how the school compares to others across the state.

The Board of Education said 11-percent more schools earned "A" grades this year from last year.

And some school districts are using the data and grades to adjust their strategies.

In the North Little Rock School District, the data reports three schools raised their grades, including the Middle School which went from a “D” to a “C” grade.

"We're not where we want to be, but we have a plan to get there," said Superintendent Bobby Acklin.

District leaders said improving students’ reading is their focus because reading skills will help improve all subjects.
