PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — An argument inside a North Portland club spilled out into the street and escalated into a fight and gunshots, police said.

Just before 2 a.m. Sunday, police were called to the area of N. Mississippi and Shaver after a 911 caller said there were about 50 people fighting and gunshots were fired.

People scattered when police arrived, but witnesses told officers the argument began inside The 1905 Club, 830 N. Shaver Street. The arguers were tossed out of the club but the argument continued and escalated.

Officers found evidence of gunfire but no one was hurt at the scene and there were no reports of injuries at area hospitals that would be connected to this, police said.

The Gang Enforcement Team is taking over the investigation, which is ongoing.
