PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man attempted to stab people at a Beaverton sports bar on Sunday during an altercation that started when he bumped into another man while entering the restroom, Washington County deputies said.

Jonathan Lemarroy, 39, was arrested on multiple charges including second-degree assault, riot, menacing and felon in possession of a weapon. His bail is set at $250,000. The only reported injury belonged to Lemarroy, whom deputies said cut his own hand while attempting to stab others.

The incident, according to deputies, started when Lemarroy bumped into another man while entering the restroom. After that, deputies said Lemarroy “flashed some hand signals and produced a knife.”

Deputies said they responded to Club Underground at 12:06 a.m. on Sunday. When they arrived, deputies said the man and the bar’s security staff were fighting on the bar’s floor with Lemarroy. Deputies said Lemarroy attempted to stab the security members. He cut his own hand in the process. He was eventually disarmed and detained by deputies.
