OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Luckily no one was injured when an SUV caught fire Wednesday afternoon and soon turned into a raging fireball.
Firefighters were called to the 1200 block of Fern Street SW just after 4 p.m. after getting a report of the blaze. They arrived to find the SUV fully engulfed with flames threatening the apartment building nearby.
But firefighters were able to prevent the flames from spreading, though the heat did cause some damage.
"Other than some cracked apartment windows to fire did not extend to the building," Olympia Fire officials tweeted.
There is no word what started the fire.
