SEATTLE -- Love is in the air this week! Valentine's Day is big business, with an estimated $20 billion on the line for retailers, according to the National Retail Federation.

And in Seattle, some go big.

A 2016 study by Zillow found approximately 4 percent of millennial households earn more than $350,000 a year, putting the Emerald City in the top 5 for rich young adults. We wondered what that kind of money might get you and your special somebody.

For starters, you could book a room at one of Seattle's most exclusive hotels. And we don't just mean any room. At the five-star Four Seasons Hotel in downtown, the 2,500 square foot Presidential Suite can be yours. For a price.

"For Valentine's, it's at the $7,000 mark," says hotel manager Robbie Delaney.

If that sounds like a lot, consider what else you get: unparalleled service and attention, a bar and butler's kitchen stocked with your favorite drinks and snacks, incredible Puget Sound views, a fireplace, two bedrooms (with the option for a third), and marble bathroom that rivals some spas!

Despite the price, Delaney says the suite is frequently booked. Hollywood stars and entertainers have stayed there, though Delaney wouldn't share names, and some lucky lovebirds have occasionally been "bumped up" for special occasions.

But Delaney is quick to point out you don't have to spend anywhere near $7,000 to enjoy the hotel and its amenities. You'll find space and comfort in the traditional rooms, which start at about $500. Or you can take advantage of the hotel's spa and restaurant a la carte.

"The restaurant is a great option," Delaney says. "You could have champagne, desserts, appetizers, even a nice dinner for $150."

A few blocks away, we paid a visit to Seattle's historic Ben Bridge Jewelers, now under the leadership of Lisa Bridge, a fifth-generation family member and the company's first female CEO.

"This is a great time of year to get engaged," Bridge says, adding the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays through Valentine's are some of the busiest months for the store.

"Whether your budget is big or small... you want something that is meaningful, lasting, and is going to create joy," she said.

We asked to see a range of engagement rings, and Bridge did not disappoint, pulling out a 5-carat diamond worth $230,000!

But Bridge says there's no need to break the bank. She also shared a beautiful rose gold band and one-third carat diamond that looked as though it was filled fireworks. The total price tag: $3,000.

"You want to make sure the diamond is beautiful and it sparkles," Bridge said. Beyond that, the size, cut, color and price are up to you.

One of the most popular places to propose in the city is the Columbia Center's Sky View Observatory. The staff regularly receives requests from lovebirds looking to make it official.

"We had a proposal two nights ago," observatory manager Jennifer Tucker told KOMO News. "One of our absolute favorite things is to facilitate those experiences for somebody who's starting a new chapter."

It's so popular, the observatory even offers a special proposal package. Starting at $60, couples can arrange for champagne and two commemorative glasses. After that, Tucker says the sky is the limit, with options that include renting out the entire observation deck!

Tucker says Sky View is especially proud of its history of proposals, because nobody has ever said no.

"For whatever reason, we have a 100 percent success rate," she says.

And there's no way to put a price on something like that.
