More than 30 McDonald's across Jefferson City kicked off a new fundraiser in efforts to raise money for the Ronald McDonald's House of Charity of mid-Missouri.

The fundraiser revolved around new coupon sheets that customers could buy for $1 that had four free small frozen beverages passes. The coupons sheets were sold in restaurants and drive-through windows starting Monday morning.

All of the proceeds raised will go directly back to Ronald McDonald House of Charities of mid-Missouri. One McDonald's owner, David Ruprecht, said local McDonald's hope to raise $30,000 through the fundraiser.

He said the restaurants are giving back to the community to raise additional funds to support the local Ronald McDonald House Charities.

"We know that nothing else matters when caring for a sick child and we are committed to making families in the area know that we support them," Ruprecht said. "We take great pride in supporting the Mid Missouri Ronald McDonald House as well as the families and programs they serve."

In addition to the RMHC Coupon Program, McDonald's pledged locally to support RMHC of Mid-Missouri year-round through the Penny for a Pound of Fries Program.

Jefferson City McDonald's donate one-penny per pound of fries purchased at our restaurants. The campaign was launched July of 2018 and had raised over $19,000.
