One in custody after shots fired at vehicle near Washington, Dunklin intsersection

JEFFERSON CITY — The Jefferson City Police Department said Wednesday morning police were investigating a shots fired report.

Officers arrived in the 200 block of West Dunklin Street just before 9:30 a.m. and found multiple shell casings in the area. Police said a person recognized someone driving near the intersection of Dunklin and Washington streets and fired shots.

No injuries were reported, but the victim's vehicle was damaged by gunfire.

Officers said one person was taken into custody.
