JEFFERSON CITY — According to a release, there have been reports of companies illegally selling items door to door in Jefferson City.
Police said those companies are selling many products, but many recent reports are of beef companies. Skyline Beef and Stampede Meat are names of companies that have been reported to police.
Jefferson City police stated laws prohibit door-to-door sales without a permit. They also prohibit any door to door soliciting before 8 a.m. and after 8 p.m.
The name of the seller and company must be easy to see when they are on the job, according to the the city code of ordinances.
