Demonstrators gathered at the State Capitol Monday to protest the death of George Floyd.


Protesters returned to Capital.

This isn't the first time there have been protests at the Capitol due to police brutality.

Michael Brown was killed by an officer in Ferguson in 2014 causing unrest.

Protestors on the Capitol lawn Monday chanted "I can't breathe."

Protesters were also seen chanting "black lives matter."

During the protest, National Guardsmen held shields while standing behind demonstrators.

Law enforcement officers and members of the National Guard took a knee at Jefferson City protest.

This protest was the first of two scheduled to take place in Jefferson City on Monday.

Meanwhile, in Columbia protesters similarly gathered to peacefully demonstrate in the wake of Geroge Floyd's death.

Sunday night and into Monday morning protesters gathered in Columbia.

On the University of Missouri's campus Monday, demonstrators gathered peacefully.

And over the weekend protesters were seen in Boonville.
