Wells Fargo is limiting branch hours nationwide, closing some locations, and switching others to drive through-only.

The branch on 830 East Cyprus Avenue is open. They are following social distance protocols and are allowing a limited number of customers in the lobby at a time. Their ATM drive-thru is also open. The branch at 1515 Pine Street is temporarily closed. The drive-thru ATM is open.

The branch at 555 Walnut Street in Red Bluff is also open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Wells branches in Chico are open with limited hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wells is updating the status of each branch through their branch locator. The change in hours and closures has not has not only caused confusion but frustration among customers.

"It's packed over there. There's like a 100 people and it's six feet of distancing so it's packed. Now I can't get in to pay my mortgage cause it's packed," one customer voiced.

Bank of America has also restricted their branch hours. Most banks have offered some type of temporary relief or assistance and are working on methods of offering more assistance to those affected by the coronavirus and the economic shutdown following.

Banks say their call centers are swarmed with out-of-work customers facing upcoming bills due to mortgages or credit card bills.
