A 12-year-old girl has died from injuries sustained in an ATV four-wheeler accident in Goshen Monday night, according to the Utah County Sheriff's Office.

The victim, Marley Tarango, was one of three people on the four-wheeler, the 13-year-old driver and a 10-year-old passenger were not injured. Marley had a helmet with her, but was not wearing it. The driver was also not wearing a helmet, but the 10-year-old passenger was wearing one.

The 13-year-old driver told deputies that as she was driving the four-wheeler, it suddenly jerked to the side, causing Marley to fall off. Marley suffered multiple serious head injuries, as well as an ankle injury.

People nearby rushed to Marley to provide CPR because she was not breathing. When deputies arrived, they jumped in to help until Santaquin paramedics could get to the scene.

Marley was then airlifted by helicopter and taken to Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, where she was pronounced dead at approximately 11:30 p.m.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help Marley's family with costs associated with her death.
