A building has partially collapsed in downtown Salt Lake City on Saturday evening.

Salt Lake City Fire Department responded to a partial structural collapse on 155 E. 1st Avenue at approximately 6 p.m. on Saturday.

A photo from the scene shows that the building apparently sunk into the ground, causing the back of the structure to collapse.

2News spoke with a resident in one of the apartments inside the building, who stated that she felt a shaking like an "earthquake" before noticing that her balcony was destroyed from the collapse.

Salt Lake City Fire tweeted later Saturday evening that there were no confirmed injuries and all the residents of the adjacent buildings are able to stay inside their homes at this time.

The cause of the collapse is currently unknown.
