(KUTV) -- The Deafblind Advocacy of Utah hosted a DeafBlind Awareness Day conference called “Experience Our World” on Friday.

The event featured local experts and representatives from organizations such as the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation, Helen Keller National Center, Disability Law Center and Utah Schools for the Deaf and Blind.

Nearly 200 participants were in attendance to learn from local experts and “experience” what it’s like for a DeafBlind person to see using Google Vision and how they hear with a hearing barrier.

There were also demonstrations of white cane travel and navigating with a guide dog as a DeafBlind person.
