Man suffers minor injuries after falling through snow, into deep crevasse in High Uintas

A man suffered minor injuries after he fell through the snow and into a 15-foot rock crevasse in the High Uintas on Friday afternoon.

Uinta County Fire and Ambulance crews responded to Scout Lake at Camp Steiner in the Uintas for a man who had fallen through some snow and into a 15-foot rock crevasse, according to a post on the agency's Facebook page.

Crews were able to get the man out of the hole, where he was then transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
