Woman killed in Salt Lake City burglary-homicide identified; still no suspects

(KUTV) — Police have yet to identify potential suspects in the shooting death of a woman at a Salt Lake City apartment on Saturday.

The victim was identified Monday as 27-year-old Kathryn Blaire Leavitt.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at an apartment at 1211 N. Redwood Road at 7:41 a.m.

They arrived to find Leavitt, who had been shot. She was transported to a local hospital, where she died.

Police have released few details so far about their investigation into the homicide.
