(KUTV) — Salt Lake City, Utah is a nice place, literally.
A new study by Business Insider ranked the rudest cities in America.
Salt Lake City ranked 47th out of 50 on the list.
More than 2,000 American adults were asked to choose the five rudest cities in the U.S. from a list of the country's 50 biggest metro areas.
KUTV 2News did not commission or participate in this study and could not verify its results or findings.
New York, New York topped the list with 34.3% of respondents' votes. This was almost twice as much as the next highest city on the list, Los Angeles, California
Only 1.6% of respondents thought Salt Lake City had the rudest residents.
The study by Business Insider cited a 2018 incident when actor Joseph Morales expressed his disappointment in the crowd during a touring production of "Hamilton."
He posted on Twitter: "SLC, you're killing me. Put your phones away. We can see you. This isn't a movie. What is up with you guys?"
One person responded saying Morales should "deal with it," because the Utah Jazz were in the NBA playoffs.
