Salt Lake City named 23rd most fun city in America
(KUTV) -- Fun can be defined in a number of different ways.
Some people have fun while hiking, some prefer shopping and others enjoy amusement parks.
But, having fun can be a burden on your wallet. On average, Americans spend nearly $3,000 on entertainment every year, according to a report by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
So, what are the most fun cities in America that don't break the bank?
In a study by WalletHub, Salt Lake City was named the 23rd most fun city in the United States. Las Vegas, New York City and Los Angeles all placed above the Utah's capitol.
West Valley City also made it onto the list. However, it placed 143rd due to its inaccessible bars, and few fitness centers and restaurants.
The results of this study were based on the following factors: Number of festivals, restaurants, park playgrounds, acres of parkland, fitness centers, accessible bars, dance clubs, beer price and movie costs.
