Two suspects attack man with a hatchet in Salt Lake City

(KUTV) — A manhunt is underway for two suspects who were armed with hatchet and allegedly attacked a man on Sunday night.

The incident occurred at an apartment on 136 South 3rd East around 10:30 p.m., according to the Salt Lake City Police Department.

The victim told police he was visiting a friend, who later left their chat to go shopping.

That's when two other visitors attacked the victim and ran off.

Police say the suspects' motivation is unknown at this time.

The victim is expected to be okay.
