A man was arrested repeatedly on the same day in the same area for burglarizing and stealing from vehicles in Washington County on Friday.

Tyjobe Sierra McCrone, 26, was arrested for four counts of theft and four counts of burglary of a vehicle.

According to the probable cause statement, a Hurricane City Police officer responded to two calls for vehicle burglary on Friday. The suspect - later identified as McCrone - was arrested earlier in the day for the same charges in the same area.

At the first home, there were two vehicles parked in the driveway overnight that were unlocked, according to the probable cause statement. The owner of the vehicles told the police officer that he came outside around 5 a.m. and discovered that both vehicles were rummaged through and that his pocketknife and two pairs of sunglasses were missing. A pocketknife was recovered from McCrone later in the day he was originally arrested, which the owner then identified as his pocketknife.

The second home was close to where McCrone was arrested. According to the probable cause statement, the homeowner came outside around 5 a.m. and noticed that two cars in the driveway were opened and rummaged through, and that McCrone left one of the doors slightly open, and took two pairs of sunglasses and some CDs.

According to a press release posted on Hurricane City Police Department's Facebook, officers were dispatched to another vehicle burglary in progress around the same time on the same day as the other incidents.

This time, the complainant observed McCrone going through his vehicle and caught him in the act of stealing his firearm from the vehicle. When the complainant confronted McCrone, he pointed the stolen firearm at him before running away when he saw police arriving on the scene.

After a short foot pursuit, Hurricane City Police officers were able to take McCrone into custody. While investigating this incident, Hurricane City Police stated that they were able to locate at least six vehicles that had property taken by McCrone.
