Man accused of sexually abusing 2 girls under age of 14 in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - A 44-year-old Aumsville man faces accusations he sexually abused two girls under the age of 14 when he lived in Springfield.

Marion County Sheriff's deputies arrested Roy Jay Williams at his Aumsville home early Wednesday morning.

Jail records show Williams was booked into the Marion County Jail just after 2 a.m.

He is being held there until he can be brought to Lane County to face the charges.

Springfield Police said detectives investigated allegations Williams abused the two girls between 2012 and 2014. At the time, Williams lived on A Street in Springfield.

Both girls were under the age of 14 at the time of the abuse, police said.

The investigation resulted in a arrest warrant for Williams, executed Wednesday morning in Aumsville.

Williams faces 12 counts of Sexual Abuse 1, 5 counts of Unlawful Sexual Penetration, 2 counts of Sodomy 1, and single counts of Rape and Unlawful Sexual Penetration 2.
