COVINGTON, Ky. (WKRC) - A decades-old tradition in Northern Kentucky will get a breath of fresh air over the weekend.
Oktoberfest in Covington dates back to 1979. When Mainstrasse Village Association declared bankruptcy, it looked like the tradition was over.
Then Braxton Brewing Company took over.
This year Braxton will put a new spin on the event with live music, German food and cold beers at Goebel Park.
Covington Oktoberfest runs Friday 5-11 p.m., Saturday 12-11 p.m., and Sunday 12-8 p.m.
