One shot to death at Springdale apartment complex

SPRINGDALE, Ohio (WKRC) - The Hamilton County Coroner has been called to a shooting in Springdale Tuesday.

Police were called to the Willows of Springdale apartment complex on Chesterdale Road around 11 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found 21-year-old Desmon Sayles, who had been shot in the chest. Fire and EMS crews attempted to save Sayles, but he died.

Springdale Police said three people of interest were seen leaving the scene after the shooting. One person was detained by officers.

Police are investigating and interviewing anyone who may have been involved in the homicide.
