LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WKRC) - Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear activated the Kentucky National Guard Saturday for help in Louisville.

Approximately 350 Kentucky guardsmen arrived Saturday afternoon following violent protests.

Louisville police also apologized on the heels of video showing a police officer firing what appeared to be pepper balls at a news crew during a live television broadcast.

The crew was covering the second night of protests over the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.

She was a black woman killed by police in her own home in March.
