Kentucky police searching for escaped inmate

DRY RIDGE, Ky. (WKRC) - Kentucky State Police are searching for an escaped inmate who they say got away while he was on work release on Saturday afternoon.

38-year-old Wayne Eldridge Weeks is from Mt. Olivet, Kentucky. Police said he may travel back to his hometown due to his ties there. Weeks is about six feet tall and weighs around 260 lbs.

He was last seen in a turquoise short sleeve shirt, a dark blue jacket and jeans. He has multiple Grateful Dead tattoos and a tattoo of a Celtic knot on his wrist.
