PennDOT implements speed and weather restrictions across Pennsylvania

UPDATE: All restrictions have been lifted in the Harrisburg area, EXCEPT on the turnpike as of 7:40 p.m.




Across Pennsylvania there are twelve weather restrictions in effect as of 6:00 p.m.

Due to winter weather conditions, PennDOT has implemented a 45-m.p.h. speed restriction in both directions to the turnpike (I-76), I-81, US30, US15, I-83, 283, and 78.

As of 2:33 p.m., there is an accident on I-76 W between Lebanon-Lancaster and Harrisburg East near mile post 248.7 near HIA. The right lane is blocked due to the accident.

As of 2:00 p.m., there is an accident on I-76 E near mile marker 271.9 near Brickerville.

As of 1:50 p.m., there is an accident on I-76 W Lebanon-Lancaster and Harrisburg East near mile marker 261.3 near Mastersonville. Right Lane is blocked.

As of 11:56 a.m. there is a multi-vehicle crash on I-90 eastbound between Exit 45: US20 - State line and New York State line. ALL LANES CLOSED

As of 11:38 a.m. there is a multi-vehicle crash on I-80 westbound between Exit 64: PA66 south – New Bethlehem/Clarion and Exit 60: PA66 North – Shippenville. ALL LANES CLOSED
