Health officials are investigating a possible coronavirus case in Philadelphia.

It involves a Chinese exchange student at the city's William Penn Charter School.

Officials say he started feeling ill days after arriving from China last Tuesday.

On his way to the US, he changed flights in the city of Wuhan, ground zero for the virus.

Health officials are still waiting for his test results, but they say he is already feeling better.

They say the risk to other Philadelphians is low.

However, some exchange students at a nearby college are still cautious.

"We have come all a long way from our home, and we don't have anybody here, so it's better to take precautions,” said one student.

The virus has affected more than 2,700 people in China and other countries, killing at least 82 patients

The CDC says there are five confirmed cases in the US and more than 70 possible ones.
