A disruptive system will bring light snow/sleet by early evening then transitioning to freezing rain and rain by later this evening. A coating or so of snow/ice possible. This all wraps up before Monday morning drive. Expect slick roads this evening, so avoid travel if possible. More snow/ice the further north you go ... especially closer to the I-80 corridor.
Today: Increasing Clouds, Late Afternoon / Early Evening Wintry Mix - High 36
Tonight: Snow Showers and Sleet, Light Coating - Low 30
Monday: Cloudy Early, Then Sunshine - High 46
Tuesday: Mostly Sunny - High 38
Sunday evening will bring another wintry mix...mainly on the light side, but still a bit disruptive. This could start as some light snow showers delivering a quick slushy coating of snow, but once again transition to sleet and rain. This storm should be gone by the Monday morning commute, but good thing it is a holiday with less drivers on the roads.
Looking ahead, we're also watching another storm for the middle of the week (Wednesday). This will begin as a snow maker before once again changing to a wintry mix during the afternoon on Wednesday. Enough warm air will filter in transitioning the precip to plain rain during the evening hours. Another complex system to keep an eye on.
