Kohima, November 15 (MExN): Kohima Police personnel intercepted one vehicle Tata Mobile NL 07A7756 and seized IMFL consignment of 180 cases of different brands on November 15. This happened when the personnel conducted MVCP below old KMC dumping area at NH 29. The driver arrested was identified as Ajibun Rahim (20 Yrs), Dist- Nagaon (Assam), P/Add-Chumukedima 2nd gate. A case has been registered under Kohima Sechü (Zubza) PS Case No. 21/18 U/S 44 (a) (e) NLTP Act in this connection.
Kohima police conducted raid at shops around Jail Colony, Kohima on November 9. 49 cases of various brands of IMFL were recovered. Ten persons were arrested for possession and sale of illicit liquor.
Another Maruti Alto, B/No. WB 26C 6817 was intercepted by police personnel on October 30 and recovered 16 cases of IMFL from Peducha gate. One Alumba (21 yrs), Vill-Chongchose, PS- Kiphire, Dist- Kiphire, P/Add- Upper AG colony Kohima was arrested.
Police personnel manning Peducha check gate intercepted a truck B/No. NL 01K 3181 and recovered 200 cases of Kingfisher Beer on October 9. A press release from the PRO, Kohima Police stated that in this connection, one occupant of the truck identified as Arjun Thapa (25 yrs), Vill- Jorthobi, PS- Khatkhatii, Dist- Karbi Anglong was arrested.
A joint exercise was conducted between Kohima Police personnel and 10 NAP (IR) on September 13 at NH 29. Seven cases of various brands of IMFL from a truck B/No. NL 01A5753 were recovered. Two persons were arrested, identified as Shiv Kumar Singh, Dist- Motihari (Bihar), P/Add- Kezieke colony Kohima and Bhutan Sahani, Dist- Motihari (Bihar), P/Add- Kezieke Colony, Kohima.
