Dimapur, January 20 (MExN): Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) RO Tinsukia organized Regional Incentive Award at Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), Dimapur on January 19. The programme began with lamp lighting by chief guest Brigadier DS Rawat, Chief Engineer, Project Sewak & Chairman VMC KU Dimapur.
Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya Dimapur, in a press release stated that welcome song was presented by the students of KV Dimapur. While welcome address was given by Umesh Chandra, Principal KV Dimapur. B K Behra, QC (I/C) KVS RO Tinsukia in his speech encouraged the Principals and teachers to work hard for the betterment of students and society at large.
Various cultural performances such as Naga, Classical, Bamboo, Bihu, Gallo and Sattriya dances were performed by students of KV Dimapur, Churachandpur, Tinsukia, Itanagar and Duliajan. Regional incentive awards were distributed to 8 teachers and 32 teachers were awarded certificate of excellence for the session 2017-2018 by Chief Guest Brigadier DS Rawat, Guest of honor SK Chopdar Director ZIET Bhubneshwar along with DC (I/C).
KVS RO Tinsukia, KV Chabua, Dimapur and Dinjan were adjudged first, second and third respectively for Harit Vidyalaya. KV Dimapur, Duliajan and Kimin were adjudged first, second and third for Swachh Vidyalaya respectively.
Guest of honor Chopdar spoke about the positive aspects to move ahead in life. Chief guest Rawat briefed about challenges in the present education system and the role of KV Tinsukia region to counter the problems in the field of education. Asst Commissioner SV Joglekar expressed gratitude to all the guests, faculty members and students who contributed their best to make the event successful. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
