KZK condemns alleged murder

Kohima, November 17 (MExN): The Kewhimia Zhavipfüko Krotho (KZK) has condemned the recent murder at Seikhazou, Kohima. A press release from the President and Secretary KZK stated that such ‘deed has absolutely no place in our society.’

The KZK regretted treating the once safe and almost crime free village as a ‘killing field.’ It further raised concern on the rise of crimes against women in Nagaland and the need for the society to reflect on its role in this situation.

It has urged the concerned authorities to swiftly execute the investigation, be wary of pressure/influence from groups/communities who tries to sway the investigation and legal procedures seeking leniency for the killer, to restore peace and safety of the once peaceful locality by installing regulation and security measures.

Further, the KZK maintained that crimes against women will not tolerated by any right thinking law abiding citizens and condemnable by all.
