Nagaland: Half day shutter down today

Dimapur, February 17 (MExN):The Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI), the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), the East Dimapur Business Association (EDBA) and the Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) have decided to support the ‘Bharat Bandh’ called by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT).


They have directed their members to observe a half day “shutter down” from morning till 12 noon to express solidarity with the nation and families of the martyrs in the Pulwama attack in Jammu & Kashmir on Thursday, and to “send out a message that terrorism has no place in our society.” This was informed in separate press releases from CNCCI Chairperson, Dr. Khekugha Muru, DCCI President, Akashe Zhimomi, EDBA President, Atoka Zhimomi, MCCI President, Tsukti Longkumer, and MCCI General Secretary, Limalenden Longkumer.


Meanwhile, President of Wokha District Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Renponthung Ezung, stated in a release that due to late information, shops in Wokha will not down shutters but hoist black flags for a week.
