Governor conveys Janmashtami greetings

Kohima, August 23 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland, RN Ravi has conveyed his warm greetings to the people of Nagaland on the occasion of Janmashtami. Ravi, in a press release issued   called on all to strive and build a society free from malice and full of brotherhood and compassion. He also prayed that the occasion of Janmashtami bring amity, harmony, prosperity and happiness in our lives.

 

NTC installs members for 2nd NTC team

Dimapur, August 23 (MExN): The Naga Tribes Council (NTC) held its installation programme for 2nd NTC team, for the tenure of 2019-2023, at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur on August 20. A press release jointly issued by the President, Toniho Yeptho and General Secretary  Nribemo Ngullie, NTC stated that the elected members are as follows: Toniho Yepthomi, President; Visa Meru, Vice President; Imsünok Ao Vice President; Nribemo Ngullie, General Secretary; Atathu Thur, Secretary and Hievilhou Metha as the Treasurer. The NTC also elected 10 executive council members, 6 advisors and 24 general council members.

 

Dimapur Bangali Samaj conveys Janmashtami greetings 

Dimapur, August 23 (MExN): The Dimapur Bangali Samaj (DBS) on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami has wished all the devotees a happy celebrations. “May the teachings of Shri Krishna fill our lives with compassion, fellow feeling, and with a determination to overcome our difficulties with renewed zeal and vigor,” the DBS prayed.

 

NIPF nominates new office bearers

Dimapur, august 23 (MExN): The Nagaland Indigenous People Forum (NIPF), on the direction of the Chief Convener, North East Indigenous People Forum (NEIPF), had it's maiden meeting on August 22 and nominated the following office bearers for a term of three (3) years. A press release issued by Richard H Aolai, Press Secretary NIPF stated that the nominated office bearers are as follows: Convener, Yibemo Kikon ;Co-convener, Dr. Heshito Chishi; General Secretary, Philip; Assistant General Secretary, Ale-ü; Press Secretary , Richard Haolai ; Cultural Secretary, Vekro Puro  and Treasurer Nungtok Jamir. The release also stated that during the meeting the NIPF recommended the names of three persons- namely: P Pius Lotha, Dr T Lima Jamir and N K Keny, in addition to the existing member Khehoto Swu, as Executive Member to the NEIPF.
