FPS in Dimapur asked to return unclaimed ration cards

Dimapur, may 16 (MExN): All Fair Price Shops in Dimapur have been directed to return all unclaimed PHH ration card which have been left without trace and unattended by the beneficiaries, latest by May 22.
A circular from the Assistant Director Food & Civil supplies, S Kavito Aomi said that FPS are directed to strictly comply with the directive.

 

CBCC to make Mission Centre as quarantine centre

The Chakhesang Baptist Churches Council (CBCC) came forward to help their own members by making its Mission Centre as a quarantine center. In a situation like this, the ADC office Pfutsero Sub Division described the decision taken by CBCC as “bold and courageous and commendable” which it stated it would help the people to a great extent. It expressed profound gratitude to the CBCC for their yeomen service to the people.

 

DC Longleng requisitions hostel

Longleng, May 16 (MExN): In order to setup additional quarantine centres to accommodate the stranded people coming from other state, the RUSA Boy's hostel, Yingli College, Longleng has been requisitioned as quarantine centre by the Deputy Commissioner, Longleng M Shayung Phom according to the Nagaland Epidemic Desease (COVID-19) Regulation 2020 under the Epidemic Disease Act of 1897. All aspects of the building will be under the authority and control of the Deputy Commissioner, Longleng until the end of the current COVID-19 crisis or till further order, a DIPR report stated.

 

Assam Rifles provides assistance

Dimapur, May 16 (MExN): Tuensang Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) provided assistance to civilians in Police Bazaar, Tuensang by distributing assorted ration packets to 200 unprivileged and needy families on May 14. In Zunheboto, the Zunheboto Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) provided provided essential items and basic medicines to migrant labourers of Akuluto Town, Zunheboto district. A total of 10 migrants, who are facing extreme hardship due to ceasing of employment activities were benefitted from this endeavour, a press release from the Defence PRO stated.

 

NCD meeting on May 18

Dimapur, May 16 (MExN): The Presidents of 19 tribal bodies under Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) and all the newly nominated members of the Naga Council Dimapur (2020-2024) will have a joint meeting at the ASTD office, near IMC Hall, on the May 18, 2: 00 pm. This meeting will be ‘follow up’ of the May 13 meeting and also discuss some important issues, informed a press release from the NCD. All the concerned members are requested to participate in the general interest of the public, it stated.
